One of the region's established, but continuously growing, law firms is looking to hire a Clinical Negligence Lawyer into their team, to be based either in Somerset or North Devon. The ideal candidate will be someone at 0-2 PQE, who is keen to develop a career within Clinical Negligence law. You won't need to have had extensive experience within this area of law, but we are keen to find someone who has a genuine interest in Clinical Negligence work and someone who can see themselves doing this for years to come. The work on offer is a high-quality level of work and very rewarding. The department continues to grow, which this new role plays a part of.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of clinical negligence claims under supervision.
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and legal submissions.
- Reviewing medical records and liaising with medical experts.
- Advising clients on legal issues and case progress.
- Attending settlement meetings, mediations, and court hearings where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ – 2 years PQE) or CILEX Lawyer.
- Experience in clinical negligence is preferred, but candidates with general litigation experience and a keen interest in medical negligence will also be considered.
- Strong analytical, research, and case management skills.
- Excellent communication and client care abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple cases.
