One of Plymouth's most modern, progressive and exciting law firms are looking to recruit a Residential Conveyancer to join a busy and thriving Residential Property department. In this role you'll be joining a number of other fee-earners, the head of department and a number of legal support staff to manage a busy caseload and deliver quality work with exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be someone who works well in a team environment, ideally with at least 2 years experience in conveyancing, and has a motivated desire to succeed and thrive in the company. Responsibilities include:
- Conduct of matters on behalf of clients
- Assist colleagues with their fee earning work where appropriate and on large residential transactions
- Participation in business development activities whether on a firm wide, departmental or team basis
- Financial control of matters through appropriate billing procedures
- Perform fee earning work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the firm’s quality and risk management procedures (Lexcel)
- Attendance at departmental meetings, leading by example with contributions made at and subsequent to such events
- Maintain IT skills appropriate to modern legal practice
- Take responsibility for self-development and keeping up to date with legal developments
Skills and experience required:
- Previous fee-earning experience within Residential Property
- A driven work ethic with emphasis placed on providing exceptional quality of service to clients
